The course was fantastic, I would have done much worse without it I’m sure. Dr Singh gave us everything we needed to know. The insight and knowledge into what comes up in the NCA vs what doesn’t was invaluable. The only thing I can think of to improve would be to have a more systematic recall of previous stations as it seemed like Dr Singh was doing a lot from memory which was fine but I wonder if a more systematic process for going through previous stations so that none are missed would be beneficial. I know it’s impossible to do all the stations of every year as there is a limit on time and capacity of course.

Great course. The videos were great help. Dr Karam was very kind and helpful. He helped us and gave us tips whenever he was around. He knew us by name even before had met us in person. Dr Anjum's advice and notes were also very useful. The timing of the course was good. It allowed for enough practice time before the exam. The environment at the center was well-suited for practicing and studying. Very grateful for the opportunity to perform procedures and the large number of needles available at the center. Was also grateful for being able to practice on the breast mannequin which was one of my exam stations. However, a few of the mannequins require replacement like the one for rectal exam. The otoscopes and fundoscopes were not working.

Taking the NCA can feel very overwhelming due to the pressure placed on passing first time, but Dr Karam’s course was the best decision I made during my preparation! It was comprehensive - clearly covering everything I needed to know and his teaching style and rapport with his students really sets him apart from many mentors I’ve had over my medicine journey! Not only did he prepare us for the NCA but also how to handle things as a Foundation Year Doctor. Practice rooms were available 24/7 with all available manikins and equipment so nothing felt unfamiliar on the exam day. Online study notes were organised and concise. Every case was role played by Dr Karam himself so we were able to get it down to perfection whilst rewatching his videos. I also highly recommend a mock as the personalised feedback was invaluable to my learning. He was very dedicated to making sure we were in the best position to do well. I successfully passed 12/12 stations with a total score of 261/300.
